A romanov or not (OPEN)

Anna sat in the living room doing homework, but her mind was on something that caught her interest. remembering that she saw her father, Anna opened her laptop as she wore a white dress with long sleeves. Her eyes looking at the screen as she typed in Dimitri's name to learn about him more. But as she did, she found a long line of things she didn't understand. She looked like her father, she was even raised in russia. but getting to know him, she began tapping her pencil on the table looking at the Romanov Sweets store, getting an idea. But having to lay low, she didn't want to get caught by the wrong people.

"What can I do...if a man like that would accept me...father...I don't know..." Anna said to herself in a low voice, Anna kept to herself and rubbed the tip of her fingers thinking about what to do.

Jake waltzed into the living room, bouncing up an apple like a hacky-sack. He was human right now, donning his usual jacket and jeans.
He noticed Anna and the homework beside her.
"Man, this school stuff is killer, isn't it?" He said with a broad grin as he leaned against a nearby chair. He probably should be doing his own homework, but he clearly wasn't concerned about it. "What'cha working on?"

Anna turned her attention to Jake, her eyes looking at him for a moment. She went silent, and got shy for a moment. Not sure what to say when he spoke to her about homework. "I'm I'm...its um...I'm doing Agriculture...." Anna said, looking up at Jake shy, she wasn't still use to talking to certain people in this home since she has come here. Her accent trying to be hidden, comes out. "I am Anna. I com froum Rusia?"

Jake's grin disappeared for a moment as he tried to think of what to comment on agriculture... it reappeared as he shrugged the thought off.
"I'm Jake." He said, tilting his chin up. "I come from America." He added, mostly because the fact was obvious.
"Have you been here long?"

Anna tried to think how long she had been in America, but hearing his name is Jake eased her a little. She knew that this place was for mutants. "I been here...for a coupl months. Was bern here, bot rais in Russia." Anna told him, holding out her hand to Jake. "Nice to meet you." she said as she stood up still holding out her hand. Allowing her long white hair to flow down her back.

Jake shook her hand. He gave an uncharacteristically shy smile. "You look nice." He said without thinking. When he registered what he said he quickly clarified, "Your hair. Does. Err..." When he realized he was sounding like a complete idiot, he said instead: "So. You miss home any?"

Anna looked at him, and twidled her fingers together in circles as she noticed that he was talking about her hair for a moment. Pink flowed over her cheeks and she looked up at Jake. His smile made her worry a bit on this place. But then tge question came up and she knew.
"I do miss it. Boot can't go hom. They will catch me and my mothir. Miss the snuw. And the mountins. Do you miss home?"

Jake glanced up at the ceiling as he thought. He hadn't really given the matter much thought. He scratched his chin.
"Not really home so much. It was alright." He said, reflecting on it. "I do miss my Dad, though. But he's off doing important junk in Africa or something." He shrugged. "So, home's not really an issue for me. Home is where you put your stuff, I guess."

Anna never thought of it the way that Jake put it, rubbing her left forearm. She thought about what her mother always called home. She was raised a bit in a lab and then grew up in russia as her mother was hoping to find her father. That was a hope in a half, as she saw that her father was fighting for the brotherhood and trying to kill the xmen.

"I guess so. I normally moved alot." She said as she tried to hide her accent again. "I gotta kind of lay low, so shield doesn't find me." Anna told him, thinking that he must have been a good fighter from the looks of him. she wondered if she could learn from him. "I can't fight real well...was wondering...do you know how to fight...?"

Jake shrugged. "Yah, kind of. I'm not like, a kung-fu master or anything, but I stand my own pretty well..." He said, giving a bit of a nod to himself. "Well, not very well like this..." He corrected looking down at his normal self. "I'm kinda shrimpy..."

Anna combed her fingers through her hair pulling it behind her back. Looking at him, he gave Jake a slight smile. "Wow a kung fu master? I was trained a bit by my mom. she isn't real good at it though." Anna said sadly, remembering when Shield came into their home and she was forced to run. Anna looked at all the lights in the room seeing the dark areas. she hated the dark, it always bothered her.

Jake gave a mischievous grin. "I learned all my moves from tv." He said, only partially joking. "But being a two ton tiger helps in fights." He said with a broad shrug. Normally, that was enough to avoid a real fight, especially if it was his half-form. If not, it's a lot easier to beat the crap out of people when you're part tiger.

Anna covered her hand in ice and placed with it in her fingers while talking to him. Seeing his grin, her cheeks went red blushing. When he mentioned about a two ton tiger, she looked up at him dropping the ball of ice. "Last time I saw a tiger, I was in russia." She told him sadly. "I don't know how to fight real good. just enough to get moved and run. Would you like to teach me some time?"

He was momentarily distracted by the sudden appearence of ice, but he quickly moved past it. He shrugged.
"Sure, I guess." He moved the conversation along. "So, I guess now'd be as good a time as any to ask what your power is." He said, playing with his apple again.
