First day of school.(A)

Wes jogged over to them faster, and whispers "Jean, whats he thinking?"

"Don't worry about it Wes." She says keeping an eye on Kitty

"Wha-" Kitty replied startled. She backed up into the lockers, once again accidently phaseing through them. She quickly got out hoping no one else had seen her. She lowered her voice to a whisper "So how do you know?"

"..." Wes looks down at the concrete, knowing dered be twoble.

Jake tilted his head alittle, not understanding the problem.
"It's just a guy right? She can handle herself."

"Kitty..." Jean said under her breath. "I'll be right back..." Jean walks over to Kitty and stands there for a second with a smile on her face waiting for Kitty to see her

"I'm one, it just happeneds that people told me to keep an eye out, so i noticed that little stunt."

Matt thought about his little meeting with Mystique, they never told them who had what powers, maybe because it would be easyer to just meet people and figure it out then to try and learn them off some paper.

"Huh... wait-" Jake started following Jean back toward Kitty.
"What's wrong?"

Wes tried to stop Jake, "jake, we dont need to draw more attension..."

Jake shrugged. "This school needs some action. If she needs help, I'll help."

Kitty smiled knowing the secret was still safe "Thats awesome! My Names Kitty, whats your's?" Kitty's friendly personality was in full gear.

Jean walks up. "Hey Kitty, wanna come with us to get a snack in the cafeteria?"

Kitty turns her head towards Jean "Uh I'll catch up in a se, go ahead without me." She wasn't really paying attention and was more focused on Matt at the time.

Jake finally caught up with Jean.
"Hey- what's the rush?"

"Matt."

He answered before taking a step back from the new outburst, he turned for a quick second, just enough to notice her friends; he didn't realy like big groups, one reason the brotherhood was a good place for him. He looked Jean over, if she was her friend she must be a mutant too, and the others too... it was a thought, but it wasn't set in stone enough for him to ask them too.

"Alright."Jean turned and headed to the cafeteria. "Come on Jake..."

"But we just- *sigh* nevermind. You owe me an explanation."

"Yeah yeah yeah."

"Nice to meet you Matt." Kitty held out her hand politely, watching her friend leave out of the conner of her eye. Relief washed over her as she could tell quite quickly that matt wasn't a people person. Well that and she wasn't too fond of having Jean and the others as bodygaurds.

Wes watched the mini rucus, waiting for them to come back

Matt shook her hand for a quick second. He looked to make sure they were leaving... much to his releif it looked like they were gone.

"Are they, too."

He asked, he assumed that it was either that, or that they were worried he was bulling her, not that Matt had enough people skills or care to use the time to be a bully.

"Yep so you don't have to be worried around them. So is this, like, your first year here too?" Kitty was hoping it wasn't, she needed someone other than Jean o show her around the school.

"Yea, although im 16, i missed a year so im in grade 10."

He said, he didn't have to ask what grade she was in, it was a dead give away.

"So what do you do about you powers anyway, it looks like they get in your way alot."

KItty looks at her hand "Well they just recntly showed up in me so I haven't gotten much time to get used to them, but I'm learning to control my powers like all my other friends." She refocuses on Matt "So you want to et something to eat with me?"

"Sure, your powers seem wierd."

Matt said before walking towards the cafe, he wasn't realy insulting her, it seemed like hers were just harder to control then his.

"Mine only mess up if i try not to use them in a fight... Not the greatest outcome."
