Roads are more fun now (CATHRINE/OPEN)

Siro escorted Cathrine to his car an old mustang charger than he had custom with the engine to make it go as fast as he could. the inside was all leather interior as the car was a little warm he use the power windows to roll the windows down. "What do you think of my baby?" Siro said as he looked at the black color of his car as he loved the classic look he loves this car as much as any car.

Turning it on, he leaned over the hood looking at her as he took off his coat throwing it in the back seat of the car not wanting to get over heated while driving.

As they walked Cath began to feel really welcome here, if there were more people like Siro around this would not be a bad idea at all. As they approached the car she smiled with a gasp as she saw the old mustang charger. Listening ot the engine purr, she smiled widely and ran a hand delicately over the top.
"She's beautiful!"
Her exclimation was a tell tale sign that she was very excited.
"You're so lucky, I've only dreamed of having a car like this one."
She slowly opened the door, as if she was afraid she'd ding the metal by the simplest actions. Slidding into the passanger seat, she shut the door and grinned.
"Oh man she's gorgeous!"

Siro smiled at Cathrine and thought for a moment, she seemed to really like his car. "Odd I got her from a junk yard in Louisana. I restored her. You get a body we can do the same thing." Siro told her with a smile not sure what to say about that. He got in the car after she closed the door and knew that his car was beautiful and she was the first person to ride in it since his friend mitch. He put the car in drive and headed straight for new york before going to maine.

"So...you like old cars like this it seems?" He smiled as he opened his cigerette compartment showing the little wrapped candies in it. Taking one he ate it as he offered one to her that was a blue one. "I love candies when driving. Well if you want some time as well. I'll take you down one street I know and let you have a go with her." He winked at Cathrine.

As they drove Cath watched the scenery slowly slip by. When she first came here, she hadn't seen anything other then the inside of the car. She was still too shaken up about loosing Kyle. When Siro offered her the candy she took it and smiled, nodding thank you to him.
"Yeah, but I love all cars, old, new it doesn't matter."
She said, just about to eat the candy when she heard him say that she could take a turn behind the wheel. Forgetting the candy she turned to him, eyes wide with wonder.
"You mean it?!!"
She pratically shouted, she had her drivers license, but with no car it seemed useless, until now anyway.

"I love cars. It is something that helped me cope after what happened along time ago. So it makes me feel better." siro said, looking over he was trying to make small talk but seeing how she was in the car he was starting to work. Placing a hand on her head gently as though to ease her mind a bit. "What is on your mind? You seem to have something. I don't mind listening."

Siro laughed when she shouted about really driving his car, it made him jump a bit in the mind and look at her before looking back at the road. "Sure I don't mind. As long as you don't drive her up a wall. If you do I'll get my friend Laxote to fix it." Siro smirked he loved her reaction. she seemed so sweet and kind and like an angel almost. as they were almost to New york. "Rather someone that loved cars drive it than someone that doesn't."

As he placed his hand on her head, she frowned slightly and turned back in her seat, rewrapping the candy.
"I think you may want to just keep driving, it's a long story."
With that she began her story, every gruesome detail and every moment she could remember. From the bully trying to take advantage of her, to meeting Kyle, to graduation. And with a hard swallow, she managed to choke out the final chapter, where Kyle was murdered by Magneto, and that it was the reason she joined the X-men.
"It's funny...I see so much of him in you. He was nice, funny, and he always was so out of the ordinary. He was a regular human, but he thought my powers were cool where everyone else just saw me as a monster. He was the most important thing to me...and when he died...I just didn't know who I was anymore..."
A tear fell onto her jeans and she quickly dried her eyes.
"I'm so sorry, I always cry when I think about it."

Siro listned to her story as he continued to drive heading right to maine first as he listened to the story. sadness filled her mind, his story wasn't any better but hers felt like one of those that one would never believe. When she finished and explained what was on her mind. He looked at her for a moment before looking at the road.

"I am sorry to hear about your past. You are strong to even be able to smile after that. Took me a long time to smile after I found out about my absorbtion powers." Siro told her. Grabbing her hand to ease her mind a bit. "Its ok. Crying...we all cry. Even I do. after all I killed my parents. but What you can do is try your best to make the best of your life. He will always be with you. Helping you love others, to smile, and give the kindness to others." He paused as his eyes looked at a bear on the road and he stopped looking at the bear. Driving backwards to a dirt road.

Cath smiled as she heard Siro say how strong she was to be smiling again. It was true, she was hurting so much after it had happened, but she was trying to be strong. Kyle wouldn't like the Cathrine sahe was before, a sad, quiet girl who spent many of her nights crying herself to sleep. Not the firey, passionate girl he knew and loved, she had to be strong for the sake of herself and for Kyle's memory.
As the breaks were suddenly applied, Cath looked around to see what could be going on. As she set eye on the bear sitting in the middle of the road she blinked, she had no idea bears lived out here and had never seen one so close before. As they reworked their situation, heading down a dirt road, Cath felt her fingers grip tighter around Siro's hand as they bounced along. Dirt roads always made her uneasy for some reason, perhaps it was the uneasy bouncing, or the fact that there were so many dangers on a dirt road.

Siro followd the car to the other end which led them to the same road they were on but away from the bear. "I didn't want to kill it no reason to unless have to." Siro told her, he smiled as her hand gripped his more but his face went red as they got into maine and the town seemed nice as they went to a small town near the water that had a little restaurant and the beach.

"Freshest seafood, right near the sea." He laughed as he stopped the car rubbing his neck as he got out. HE could smell the salty air and the seafood. "Are you okay?" Siro asked a little worried as he saw that she had been uneasy on the dirt road. "Remind me not to take you mudding." Siro laughed.

As they returned to the solid pavement, Cath sighed deeply and loosened her grip on Siro's hand. The sight of the ocean made her grin widely, ever since she was a child she'd loved the ocean. As Siro stopped the car and stepped out, she stood and held onto the frame of the door, just standing for a moment and taking it all in. The beautiful dancing relfection of the sun on the water's surface, the smell of sea food and the salty ocean air. Siros voice brought her back to reality and she turned smiling sheepishly.
"For some reason dirt roads make me nervous. I'll be fine, don't worry about me."
Closing the car door behind her she smiled, watching the waves rush across the sand in a soothing back and forth motion. The sounds of the wave was so relaxing, yet impossible to describe.
"I love the ocean, everything about it. The smell it give the air, the sounds it makes, it's so soothing to me."

Siro smiled at Cathrine as she enjoyed the area. "Come on then. We will go down to the water first and then eat." He said. Siro held her hand for a moment as he came around to her taking her down to the beach since she enjoyed it alot. it was a little windy causing his hair to fly all over the place. His eyes looking at the water, reminded him of when he went to the ocean as a child with his parents.

"I love the water. And your right it is soothing. thing is, soothing is good for calming the mind. we all need that." Siro said. His eyes looking down at Cathrine as he let go of her hand. Taking off his boots and socks he rolled up his pant legs to his knees and went to the water. smile on his face he got some water in his hand and threw a little at her. "Soothing but fun." He was trying to make her smile after the story she told him. He knew that he loved it when his friends always tried to cheer him up whern he was feeling down.

As Siro lead her down to the beach, she smiled and the blush came back to her face. Standing so close to the water it was nice, listening to the waves roll back and forth along the sand. Then Siro let go, and walked into the water. Cath screamed a bit as the cold water hit her, then she laughed and took of her own shoes to wade into the water with him. It was so cold that she jumped at first but she kept walking get used to it.
Using the entire palm of her hand she ran it along the water as fast and as hard as she could, sending a wave of water toward Siro. She laughed, it felt good to truely laugh again. It almost felt like she was on a date with Kyle, Siro had given her a new reason to hope again. The hope that she'd get all new friends here, they were like her, and wouldn't judge her for who she was or her powers.

Siro smiled at Cathrine as she splashed him, he got an idea though. he laughed as he walked over to her and picked her up in his arms as he was rather tall careful when picking her up that she doesn't touch his skin. he saw her red face, leaving a grin on his. he ran and went into the deeper water and dropped her in the water that waas waist deep to him whom Siro is over six foot. he felt though that he was going to have to get new leather pants now. just realizing they had no spare clothing.

"Ooops." He said. Looking down at her. "I'm sorry I'll buy you new clothing to make up for the ones that I just soaked. sorry." Siro said as he backed away with a red face. Looking down at Cathrine still he blushed realizing he had just still picked her up and dropped her in cold water. He rubbed the back of his head.

Cath gasped as Siro picked her up and her face flushed bright red. Then as she suddenly felt herself drop she screamed and was soaked once she'd met with the water. Standing she wrung out her short hair, the water was up to just below her chest on her. Looking over she saw Siro embarassed about what he'd just done. Wading over she smiled at him and gave him a playful punch to the shoulder.
"You big meanie!"
She laughed, even she couldn't keep a straight face at her horrible acting.
"Forget about it Shiro, though I think those clothes might be a good idea. Don't worry about it ok? It was fun, thank you."

Siro laughed when she came up and punched his arm. it had been a while since he had this much fun with someone. Looking down he smirked when Cathrine spoke again. he was happy that he gets to get her some new clothes after he just soaked her. "Yeah wet leather pants are rather tight in cold water." He said as he picked Cathrine up again taking her to more shallow water and placing her down on her feet.

With a grin on siro's face he splashed her ahain. "Come on. there is a clothing store not far from here and then we will eat some good sea food." He smiled as he grabs his shoes to walk bare foot. Stopping for a moment he quickly went ot his car and came back draping his coat over her shoulders. He wanted to be a nice gentleman since he did just take her to maine.

Cath blushed again as Siro picked her up to carry her to shallower waters. Walking to grab her own tennies shoes she slid them on, and looked behind her as she felt the warm coat slip over her shoulders. Cath grinned softly and held the coat around herself, now it could almost be a date. As he talked about a clothing store not far from her she nodded, now clothes would be nice right now, especially after she felt herself let out a pretty powerful sneeze.
"New clothes would be nice, and then something warm to eat."
She said, tugging the coat around herself more.
"It's funny, if other people saw us, they might think we were on a date or something."

Siro's face went red and looked at her, she let off a little sneeze as he took her hand leading her to the store. He saw that it was a nice casual clothing store he hoped they had something in their sizes. He heard the date comment and his face went red as he rubbed her shoulder. "Um..." His face was beat red still as he looked at her. "Well I guess that would be true." He said rubbing the back of his head as he went inside holding the door open for her as an old woman greeted them from behind the counter.

"Its so nice to see an old man taking his daughter out..." The old woman said. Siro paused and hung his head thinking dying his hair instead would be a better idea. His eyes looked at Cathrine. "sorry." He said as when she came in he went and looked at some of the men's clothing finding some jeans and some shirts that looked good.

Cath looked to Siro as his face turned beat red once she said that date comment. It made her face flare a soft red at her cheek bones as well. As they walked into the clothing store and th old lady behind the counter mistook Siro for her grandfather, Cath laughed sheepishly and blushed. Feeling sorry for poor Siro, now she knew what he meant by mistaken for an older man.
As he walked off to look in the men section, she walked off to wander the womans section. Some swimsuits were being shown by plastic headless bodies and she laughed, not helping but to imagine Siro's face if she bought one. Deciding against it she setlled on some denim shorts that seemed comfortable and a grey t-shirt. As she passed the coats, she remembered Siro saying that Maine got pretty cold at night and so she grabbed one just to be sure. Shrugging off his big coat she held it as she began looking for him.

Siro blushed when he saw Cathrine blush, but when she laughed about teh old man comment it made him smirk. as she went off to look at the clothing, he found something he might like as he found a pair of nice fitting jeans that would go over his boots and a black dress shirt he saw a black muscle shirt and pulled it out as well. Thinking about the outfits they looks rather nice in his mind. but then he saw the swimsuits and shook his head at the idea of swim suit shopping. Looking around he could see Cathrine's blonde hair walking around the isles till he came over to her.

Seeing waht she got he was curious to see what she would look like in it. "Come on I'll pay and then we will change. consider it my payment for throwing you in the water." He laughed as he looked at her for a moment. Siro walked over to the counter. Faster they paid for the items the faster they could get warm. The woman saw all the items in cathrine's hand as Siro gently snipped off the tag of each one and then gave them to the old woman. Paying for them, he was happy to have warm clothing again. "Go change and I'll meet you outside the door outside." Siro rubbed her back as he went to change in the changing room he asn't keen on stripping in front of people.

Once he was done he went outside and waiting for cathrine wondering what her outfit will look like. everything tlooked like it fit snug.

Cathrine wandered the store for a good few minutes before she felt someone behind her. Turning quickly she smiled as she saw it was just the person she was looking for. She nodded as they walked over to the register. Once everything was now legally theirs, she walked toward the womens changing room and quickly began to change. The shorts were a bit tight around her legs but she could stil lfreely move. The t-shirt fit just fine, comfortable yet not loose. Satisfied, she joined Siro outside and smiled, handing him back his jacket, with her new one tied around her hips.
"Sorry, it might be a bit wet, it'll dry if you just leave it alone for a while."
She said, blushing about the jacket. It was embarassing that she'd gotten his jacket soaking wet, her hair was still a big damp and it stuck out a bit more then usual.

Waiting outside his mind was thinking about something to talk about with her, but when she came out the door apologizing about his coat, his eyes looked at her up and down as he held the coat. His face went red as he wasn't sure what to say, but she did look smoking and pretty in no matter what she wore it seemed.

"Its..its..its okay no worries. Its better than oils.." he laughed. rubbing the back of his head, he tried to speak a little better. "Um you look rather pretty Cath. the outfit suits you. Lets drop the stuff off in my car and eat. We can sit outside on their patio if you want." Siro asked. he was trying to make small talk as he tucked a piece of her hair out of her face and behind her ear. He jumped as his gloved ripped from getting wet. Looking at his right glove he took it off and stuck his hand in his pocket. "damn it. another pair." He said. Holding out he left elbow to Cathrine to escort her to the restaurant. he went on their way once she held onto his arm. "Sorry my mother taught me old fashion before she died."

As she looked to Siro, he once again blushed and she blushed too, hearing him compliment that she looked pretty.

She said, fidgeting with her fingers as he brushed back her hair. Then she jumped as his glove ripped and he tore it off, sutffing his bare hand in his pocket. Relaxing once again, she linked her arm with his and walked beside him, a smile on her face.
"I don't mind, I think it's sweet. Other girls go crazy for this kind of stuff, I'm not ridiculously crazy about it, but I think it's nice to treat a lady with respect."
She said, smiling at Siro sincerely. The plan about going to eat sounded good, and it was known cause soon after he mentioned the food her stomach groled, causing the color to flare back into her cheeks as her free hand grapsed it as if to try and keep it quiet.

"you look cute when you blush." Siro said with a smile as they headed to get something to eat from the nice looking restaurant made from an old white country house that sat over the beach.
He could tell she was hungry. "well I feel that every girl should be treated with respect. If not they will beat you to death." Siro laughed. They got to the restaurant and he let her go in first as the waitress led them to a table of two on the patio. HE thought it would be nice to eat seafood and look at the sea. Looking around though he had forgotten about going to the car. Rubbing the back of his head he felt kind of dumb for that. he just knew that she was hungry so first thing was to get food in them.
"So...whats your favorite seafood?" He said while still standing. "May I have your clothing to put in the car by the way. And you can get our drinks. anything you want. Just don't get drunk." He laughed.

As they walked toward the little restaurant, Cath smiled as he called her cute again. She could have sworn this whole thing was to just get her alone, but Siro didn't give off the creepy-perverted-guy vibe, not one bit. As they sat, she smiled and watched the tide roll out and the sun hanging just above the horizon. This day had begun so horribly with the dream scaring the life out of her, but now it'd turned into something great.
She was brought from her thoughts by Siro asking for her clothes so he could take them to the car. Handing them to him she smiled.
"What would you like to drink? And you don't have to worry about that, I can't stand alchohol, I have a very weak stomach to it."

Siro smiled at her, she seemed a little at piece. "What ever you are having. I'm not picky. This would be a good place to have a beach party." Siro smiled as he left for a moment to put the clothes away in the car. He rubbed the back of his head and then went back inside where he went to the padio seeing cathrine sitting there. She looked nice with the background. his cheeks went a little pink as some drunk nudged his back that is when he got annoyed. So he closed the padio door so that the drunkeness didn't bother Cathrine or him.

Sitting at the table, he looked at the sea. "Its so nice isn't it. Always wanted to go over sea's but never got the chance." He said not sure what to say about it. he wasn't sure what to do for small talk right now. his bare hand still in his pocket. "I'll have to grab a new glove tomorrow or tonight before the race." Siro pulled out his hand and set it on the edge of the table being careful not even to touch anyone with it.
