(open) thinking about leaving

chace stood there in the main hall with his bag, his eyes looking at the door. In his mind he felt that he was too dangerous for this place, since he almost hurt Shadow last time he went with her. his cheeks were a bit pink as he did like Shadow, but fear was what drives him away. Fear that he might kill the people he will come to care for.

Shadowsong stood there at the foot of the stairs. She'd been walking from her room toward the back, to see if she could find some tree or something to sit by. "Chace, what's wrong?" she asked when she smelled him. Shadow walked to him and put a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Really? What happened?"

Chace looked at Shadow as she placed a hand on his shoulder. Looking at her, he turned his head away not really wanting to tell her. "I'm leaving. I'm not safe for you or anyone here...I am scared of hurting someone." Chace told her. He held his hand in his hand, but looking at her hand, he wrapped an arm around her. "Though you can heal, it still hurts to have a memory of hurting people like that." Chace stood up straight and took a step away from her thinking.

"If you're leaving, then I'm going with you," she stated. She truly cared for him, and if he was really stuck on leaving she'd go with him. "And the memories are easy to get rid of for me," she started. "Just blow in my ear." She hated blond jokes. But if it got him to laugh, she'd suffer in silence.

shock appeared on his face as he was surprised that she said that. he wasn't expecting her to do that. that she wanted to come with him if he left, but he was leaving to protect her. His finger touched a lock of her hair as his face went red while doing so. "I rather not having you lose your memories. but reason why I'm leaving mainly is to protect you. I don't want to stand over your lifeless body once day and your blood on my hands." Chace looked down at her eyes and gave her a weak smile as his eyes swelled up. "I like you alot. and all I want to do is protect you." His face went redder as his hand dropped. "Besides if you come I might as well stay here. but what is there to gain from staying here?" Chace's face went redder till he pulled his hood back over his face like he normally did.

"Well if you leave me, you might as well kill me," she smiled. "That or I can wait until someone decides to drown me with a mirror on the pool floor." Shadow absolutlry loathed that she was making fun of herself. But if it meant Chace would let her go with him, she'd try the damn blond joke all day. "You'd get a home here. Food. Friends. All you have to do is stay," she whispered, giving him a light hug. "And if we go, I'll hunt, I'll cook and you can find some place that looks good enough to stay."

Chace stared at her. Hearing that she wanted to die if he left. He didn't know what to say, he didn't want her to leave. The joke wasn't funny this time as her arms wrapped around his body. She felt so warm to him as his face went red talking about how they would live together and stuff if they left. Chace's heart skipped a beat. "I'll stay...I don't want you getting hurt if I transform while we are alone..." His thumb moved lightly across Shadow's lips. "you are my Shada." He liked calling her shada. his face was red, but he leaned down with a finger under his chin and kissed her upon the lips. He knew that he might get beaten for it, but Chace felt that if he did run he should at least do that. Stepping back, he walked towards the door. "That is my present to you. Do you still want to come or should I stay? Friends are nothing if you can't protect them. and I can't cook." Chace sighed his face still red as he grabbed the door. Looking back at her, he couldn't believe that he had just kissed her though. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that."

Shadow looked at him, puzzled. "Okay what did you call me?!" she questioned. "If that wasn't an insult, I'll go with you or make you stay. If it was, you're a dead man." Shadowsong wasn't going to actually kill him if it was an insult, but she'd sure as hell make him leave. Shadow didn't really want to leave either. She wanted to stay with her uncle. Even if he didn't have a clue that they were related. But if it meant she stayed with Chace, she'd even try dressing like a buffalo for the rest of her life. It would scare her half to death though.

"Shada." chace said as he stood at the door. "Figured it was better than Shad. Shada sounds cute." Chace's face went redder. Staring at Shadow for a moment, Chace didn't say anything. "IT wasn't an insult." Turning away from her he was still surprised that he had kissed her. But he didn't want her to leave her family. "I...I...guess...I...will stay...I can't..have you following...me..." Chace looked at the ground sadly. he couldn't leave Shadow. He couldn't tare her away from her home, a place that didn't feel like home to him.

"Oh. Okay then Snow," she giggled. "I'll leave if that's what you want to do. And I think I figured out your other form or whatever you want to call it. When I was near you last time you were like that, it wanted me to scream and cry. When I didn't it said I was no fun. It's a bit like a little kid." Shadow grabbed his hand gently. "It's just trying to have fun. And it's fun is violence."

chace stared at her as he had no memory of anything really his other side does. But hearing that it just wants to have fun, his face turned cold and lookedat her. "Soo I guess it was having fun when it was ripping my sister's face off. When it was slashing and ripping apart humans taht my father tossed in as a toy for me." Chace stared at Shadow sadly. But then she said snow, snow was something he liked. "I wish I could control it. maybe when it snows again I can I do love the snow." Chace looked at her hand grabbing his, his face wentbeat red. "Um um um...that is you are...I give up." Chace rubbed his forehead.

"Like I said, it's fun is violence," She reminded him. She smiled when he started stuttering. "Tell me what you're trying to say before I decide to use one of your shirts as a scratching post. With you in it," she threatened jokingly.

Chace's face went redder as he made his hand let go of hers. he didn't know how to tell her. He sort of didn't want to, it was like his mind and heart weren't in the same spot. Placing a hand on the side of her face gently. "I will stay...stay just...for you. Cause...you are a light...it seems in the darkness of life." chace's face went redder. but this his arm was turning black as he lost concentration. Freaking out, he jumped back holding his arm as he tried to get control. the claws showing through his arm.

"Shhh," she whispered, putting a gentle hand on his cheek. "It's okay Snowy. You're fine. It's going to be just fine Snowy. " She'd seen his arm change color and was doing her best to keep him calm. She grabbed his hand, a slight smile on her face, and pulled him towards the door.

Chace stared at shadow for a moment, realizing that she had been calling him snow. Snow was something that he hadn't expected as a nickname. for so long it had been death, grim, reaper, so many other things other than something as pure as snow. Removing his hand from hers, her touch helped calm him. But his eyes were black looking at her. "Shada. How can you...be this nice after I hurt you?" Chace walked up to her and went outside the door to get some fresh air to control his other side. his eyes turning back to normal. "shada...please don't kill...me..." His face went red as his hood hid his face. "If I stay will you you know...go out with me...?"

"I know you didn't mean it. That's how," Shadow explained, following him out. When he asked her if she'd go out with him, she didn't know what to say. "That depends, will you stay?" she asked, finally thinking to say something.

Chace thought for a moment, if it depended on if he stayed or not he wasn't sure if he could live up to that promise. To hear that she knew that he didn't mean it, it worried him for a moment. Chace bit his lip and no his heart almost skipped a beat. "I would...if you...will have...me though?" Chace's face went beat red. his hand covered his face as he was blushing.

"I don't know," Shadow smiled teasingly. "Maybe this will tell you?" She pecked his cheek and hugged him, not wanting to forget this moment.

chace's face went red as she gave him akiss on the cheek and hugged him. In his mind he never thought that he would truly smile, or be called a monster again. WRapping his arms around Shadow, he held her close to his body not wanting to let go. "thank you...thank you. For not fearing me. For not thinking I'm a monster." Chace calmed his cheeks a little as his arms remained around her. suddenly though he was transformed into the dark cloaked figure starting at Shadow with a grin on his face. Its bony hand touching her head and staring at her. "You might be more useful than I realized. Would you like to make a deal with death?" He extended his claw to her as though offering something.

"Look fella, this will end in my death and I know it," she growled, stepping back and staring into his eyes. "Now get the hell out of here. No one is afraid of you. We know that you're just Chace's other form. You're like a kid. You just have fun hurting people." Shadow wasn't pleased at all with this idiot showing up and ruining her happy moment. "Now leave Chace, the students, and everyone else, alone." So far, she loved Chace, but hated his other form.

The form looked at the girl with a frown on his face, grabbing Shadow's arm he lifted her off the ground. "silence child before I kill half the students here. I'm making you a deal." The reaper looked at Shadow with a smirk on his face. "If you don't betray him. If you don't turn chace in. I will do as you say in this form. As long as I get to play somehow of course." the form looked at her with a frown still on his face as he placed her down on the ground. Moving around her in a circle as though studying her. "But if you don't. and you are inturn like those whom imprisioned us. I'll take Chace and leave a trail of blood behind me. So what will it be? show me fun or i'll take chace and go?" he held out his hand, his voice sounding like a snake.

"What do you mean?" Shadow asked, hoping it wasn't anything like death. "If it's death you want, we can set you loose in a sewer and you can kill rats." She didn't want anyone to die unless it was her mother and step-father. She wanted her father to die at her own claws. She didn't want anyone else to bleed.

"Like I said. As long as I get some fun, I'll take your orders. Is there someone you want me to kill..." He asked with a bony grin, sharp teeth showing through the cloak as he got close. "I can't harm you. Seems the boy fights me when I do. First one he stops me from attacking." The reaper form circled her still thinking about his words. It wanted some fun. "animals, humans. I like to run and play like you said. but how can one play when all they are given is humans to torment."

"If you go into a sewer to get rid of rats and rats alone, I'll agree to it," she stated, still not trusting him completely. "I'd never harm Chace in any way either." Shadow growled at him slightly. "And if you think I would, then you can just go to hell!"

The reaper leaned in closer to her thinking for a moment on the choice of words. "That is what everyone says. his father, the scientists, the care takers, and even our mother most likely." The reaper smirked. "I'll kill the rats. but like I said, I'm doing this s taht chace will stop trying to control me. After all I am what was born. He is my other form." The reaper laughed.
