| The explosion knocked Jake forward and into the ground. A bit dazed he rose to his knees.
"Ow...." He glanced back at Matt, confused, then he realized what he had said. Jake looked away and sighed, rubbing his neck. He *had* been a bit harsh to the kid. But he wasn't going to admit *that*... but he wasn't about to fight Matt over that either. He honestly didn't feel like fighting anymore.
He worked his jaw to say something.
"Bye."
He got up again, shook off his jacket and left. | |

| (Jake, its called an ellipsis, not an eclipse.
And to use it you should space it from your word.
"Oww ...."
the first 3 dots are the eclipse, and the last is your period. Don't get me wrong, i misuse this all the time.)
(I like to think when i use it this way
'Stop that...' That i'm adding more pause, because its used incorrectly.
'Stop that ... if you wouldn't mind.' Would be my use of an ellipsis, because its correct. | |
