In a quieter street

"You offered a fight. Maybe you should have waited until you finished your game." Jake said with a laugh. "So you ready for a fun match like last time?"

I stepped back slowly and sat by a car ..........

"Did i offer a fight, i don't recall being in the mood."
Matt put the game in his pocket, he was just leading the guy on now.
"I said you stand a better chance right? Did it sound like an offer?"
Matt stood in front of the car now, he replaced the game system with a card that he held in his left hand, the sleve of his sweater would cover it.

I sat down resting my arm as I heal as I hear those to jerks speak ........

"It did, but it may have been because that little brat made my blood hot." Jake shrugged, pointing a thumb back at the kid. "He with you guys?"

"Seriously, is he mental or something? Even when Brandon acted like this, he atleast stuck with it."

"Yea i think, and i think his powers work much like yours, it'll take some time for them to become useful."
Matt answered, he didn't like seeming like he was stuck-up, he just spoke what came to his mind.

Matt looked at the guy, he realy was just going with what they said.
"Maybe were looking at it wrong, he has a great natural defence... Were just of a very rare breed of people who don't care to hear people say what ever we want to hear all the time, i'm sure most people would go for that tho."
Matt looked up and smiled.
"I know i wouldn't swallow my pride and do that."

"Hmm, maybe." Jake yawned. "But it's really annoying. If you're going to do something at least stick with your action."

"I agree, but hey i still think its the reason were both going to die doing something stupid one day."
Matt shrugged, it was the morals of what he thought that he decided to do what he did, not the after effect.
"But hey, next time we fight its all out, couldn't have someone fighting me enough to learn something just running around. Its up to you if you want to make that now."

Jake was now virtually ignoring the kid.
"Eh, I know I'll die from doing something stupid." He yawned. Being in half-form so long was taking some energy now. He rubbed the back of his ear, thinking.

"Ah, maybe somewhere where we can do less damage. I remember last time we fought we made quite a mess. I'll have to pass for today, though. I've calmed down quite a bit now, if I fight now I won't be able to calm down for another couple hours."

"No, i pretty much ignored your comment, i didn't have anything to say about it."
Matt said, he thought that guy was being childish at this point, but that wasn't something that would smooth the convosation over any, and he did have to work with the guy.

oh whatever and I slowly walked away .........

"Well Matt, I'll let you get back to your game- try not to die to many times." Jake joked. He returned to being human.
"ANd kid." Jake shouted after the kid who was leaving.

" Yah jake ........What ?????????"

"You will still want to word yourself carefully. Even if his powers takes some time to grow, he's with the Brotherhood."
Matt said to Jake, he wasn't sure what the message was going to be about, but he couldn't just stand back if he was going to lead him into something.

"I don't care." Jake said honestly, irritated at the rant before he even had a chance to say anything.
"I was just going to say don't cause any more trouble in public. Like I said before, you'll cause trouble for everyone if mutants are introduced like that." Jake snarled. With that he pointedly turned away from the kid.
"It was good to see you, Matt. Hope to see you again sometime." With that Jake started heading home.

I turned around and Started walking home ................Suddenly Preparing for take .....

Matt sighed, he didn't really care for the rant himself, but at the same time Jake's reply didn't make him feel any better. He charged the card in his hand before tossing it at Jake, this time he wasn't holding back and any speed.

I started running and flew into the air going home ........
