Hanging out in the mall. (Jake/open.)

"My speed never lasts." Jake said, giving a slight huff. He didn't mean to come off rude, but he knew that in longer lasting and longer distance fights, his powers weren't as useful. "Cats are sprinters, not marathon runners. A quick reaction here, a short sprint there..." Jake shrugged, figuring he didn't need to elaborate more.

"But you're not a cat, maybe that's where you natural talent lies, think you could train that?"
Matt asked, despite what hid teachers thought he was about improving what he was given, just only to things that really mattered to him.

Jake thought for a moment. To him, speed and stamina always seemed to be the opposite sides of the same coin; you either have heads or tails. Still, the option of having both was a good goal to work towards...
"I wouldn't know where to start." He replied honestly. He had heard of using weights to train endurance, but having a part that was nearly made of muscle would make that option unlikely. Unless he decided to pull a train. A half-tiger freak pulling a train. Not weird at all.

"Maybe you'll never reach the same level, but it's be stupid to think you couldn't train it to some degree." Matt stated as he turned into the arcade, he noticed that ?Time Crises was already being played.
"That sucks, I could kick your ass in tekken or air hockey, unless there's a game you want to play."

"I'm fine with anything, really. Let's see how much you can kick my butt in air hockey." Jake said, giving Matt a playful hit on the arm. With that, he started heading over there.

"Air hockey isn't a game I play a lot, no high scores eh?"
Matt headed towards the other end of the table and paied the machine to start and spit out a puck.
"I'm still pretty good."

"I bet." Jake said with a grin. "Don't go easy on me, though. If I'm going to lose, I'd rather see how bad I really am." He added, grabbing the small round... whatever it's called. He leaned forward putting his other hand on the table in a half-ready position.

"You start."
He said sliding the puck down the other end towards Jake, he thought it would be a nice gesture since it seemed he wouldn't be able to keep up for too long, maybe he's be a good challenge since this should really kill his stamina.
"Your mallet should only by in the little goalie crease if your stopping the puck, no camping it there.."

"No camping, got it." Jake said with a nod. That tactic was cheap anyway. He caught the puck and put it in place. Then he hit it with a strong, quick strike.

Matt reacted by swiping the shot, sending it right back up as it bounced on either edge of the table. Jake was fast but no matter how hard he tried he'd need to do something other then smack it right at him to score.

Jake was focused on the puck as it bounced against the sides. Once it was close, he hit it again, almost like the first time but this time he hit slightly in front of it instead of straight on.

Matt followed the puck back, tapping it just right to send int into his corner so he could line up a shot. After centering the puck he tapped it forward just a bit, as the puck was slowly passing the center line he reached forward and smacked it up to see if the sudden speed wouldn't throw him off.

Jake quickly swiped the puck to the side, making it bounce off the walls again. The sudden speed didn't through him off too much, mainly peaked his attention. The tiger part of him was already hard-wired to pay attention to a moving target, even if it was just a round piece of plastic.

(Wanna agree this goes on for a while, no one really gaining an advantage of more then a point.)

(I flipped a coin and it landed for Jake, figured since this wasn't an activity that would kill your stamina you're speed would keep up with Matts and you'd have a fair chance.)

At the puck landed in Matt end he reacted just too late to stop the goal, the game itself was fun, but he would have liked it to last a little while longer.
"Not bad eh?"
Matt laughed as he looked at his phone for the time, they had played nearly a good half hour.

Jake grinned. "Better then I thought." He said honestly. The game was great, even better because he had won, but it didn't matter. It was a great game all the way through. "How long have we been playing?"

"It been about 25 minutes, I guess a game doesn't really fatigue you, sorta puts you on par."
Matt smiled as he looked towards the Time Crisis machine, it was being used by someone else at this point, he waited a second and saw the guy wasn't playing very well.
"We could wait, he'll be gone soon."

"Yah, sure." Jake said, looking at the screen. He winced for the guy playing as he watched the screen, it didn't look like the game would last much longer.

Matt started towards he machine as the kid began to walk away, he put coins into the slot and selected two player mode.
"You know how to play?"
He said as he waited, it was going to be interesting to see how Jakes hand-eye coordination compared to his own.

"Yah. "Jake said, feeling the smooth plastic of the game's gun. "Shoot stuff, reload, shoot some more stuff." He summarized simply. He thought for a moment. "Don't die." That was a lot how real life situations went too.

"Good, just remember to use that peddle by your foot."
Matt started the game, as went about the game, rapidly shooting and pressing the peddle, the first level wasn't hard at all it was a warm up at best.

Jake lagged a bit at the beginning, getting a feel for the game again. It had been a long time since he'd played this one. Getting reacquainted didn't take long though, and the first part was easy enough on him so he didn't lose much more ammo or hp total than the average player. The pedal part was the thing he normally forgot about. He would do better on the next round, though.

"You need to figure out what your doing with that pedal."
Matt commented at the end of the stage. He ended up covering for him a fair bit, nothing more then what he would expect from an average player getting used to the game but the time he needed explained a couple things to Matt. Despite his mutation making him faster Matt assumed it didn't do much for his fine motor skills explaining how he kept tripping up.
"This might surprise you, but I think I have an idea on what exactly you could use work on you make your fighting a lot better. It'll help with your stamina issue too."

"Right." Jake said with a nod, acknowledging the first comment. He tapped the pedal gently a couple times, but not hard enough to move it. Jake glanced at Matt. "Fire away."
