(open) Memories give the soul pain

walking down the street of bayville dressed in her checkered skirt and black shirt, she looked like a gothic lolita and a tourist for that matter. This was her first trip to america, and her eyes could tell that she was on the wrong side. She wore a short black cloak with the hood up as it was raining. Looking through some of the windows she was exploring the town. the english words were normal for her since her brother taught her, but it was still a bit odd for her since she wasn't at home. She was sixteen year old, a japanese girl in america not really knowing where she is. she saw a clothing tore.

Kiki was walking down the street with her nose in a manga book.

Aka-Chi walked into the clothing store coming back out after a little bit accidentally bumping into Kiki. "Sorry." She said as she bowed her head lifting her head she saw that she was looking at Kiki and Xman.

Kiki looked up from her One Piece manga and bowed back out of habit from watching to much anime. "No no its my fault..." she said distractedly glancing back at her comic and turning the page.

Aka-Chi saw that the girl like manga, which was a huge thing over in Japan except the pages were of english here in America. "what kind do you like?" Aka-Chi asked as she stared at the girl.

"Eh?" she said seeing that the girl was looking at her manga it she laughed. "Oh uhm! The usual, Bleach, One Piece, Naruto..."

Those names did ring a bell, but they were not her favorite of the mangas. "You should check out Millenium Snow and Princess of Destruction. They are a big hit in japan." Aka-Chi smiled, holding out her hand she stared at the girl. "Name is Aka-Chi Kyoshikigame. And you are?"

"Ah...my name is Kiki....in japan you say the last name first right? So would would be..Kyoshikigame-san?" she said shaking her hand.

"Yes. but I have to remember that people here put their first name first." Aka-Chi smiled, she was glad to have met someone else in Bayville besides Pietro and Matt, a girl was actually good to try and make friends with. She doesn't see the guys going shopping with her. "Nice to meet you Kiki-Chan." She cheered.

Seeing how Kiki didnt have any friends outside of the xaviers school, Kiki was glad to meet someone new. "Its nice to meet you to Aka-chi-chan......" she blinked "that sounded cool."

"thanks. I like yours too." Aka-Chi cheered, she was so happy. "Do you know where I can get sushi or some japanese sweets around here?"

"Hunh? Yeah I think I've actually seen an old fashion sushi and ramen stand somewhere near the park.." she said rubbing the back of her head.

"Good. im feeling a little home sick." Aka-Chi said calmly, her eyes looking at everything around them and a the rain continued to come down. SHe held a bag of clothing that is american style still in her hand. "My brother read that manga. Have you gotten to where Ace got arrested?"

Kiki's eyes started to tear up automatically and she whipped them away quickly. "Actually I'm passed it...its so sad.." She shook her head. "Uh..a-anyway lets go to that sushi bar"

she actually jumped when she heard that, but paused when she remembered looking at Kiki's face and seeing a tear instead of rain water fall. "No sad. Smiling everyday will keep the darkness away." She smiled, it was a lie of course. she could smile all she wants but her heart is tortured by the memory of her past.

Kiki looked at her and smiled sadly while grabbing her wrist. "Here, its right around the corner..."

smiling, she followed the girl. Her mind thinking that whole time, but worry filled her head. If she made friends with this girl, will the same thing happen like it did to her last friends. They turned around the corner to the sushi.

Right before they got to the sushi Kiki tripped over a stray can and lost hold of her manga. "Ah s**t!" she said shooting out her hand. The book stopped in the air for a second and she snatched it out of the rain. She started whipping it off with her jacket, not looking at Aka-chi.

Staring at what just happened, Aka-Chi jumped; she opened the door to the sushi bar. "Are you okay?" She asked, she didn't know if she was okay or not.

Kiki sat down at the sushi bar, her book in her bag now. She turned to aka-chi, "Im so glad the water didnt damage it, did you see how close it was to hitting the ground? For a second I thought I couldnt catch it."

"Its ok. Good catch though. So i'm guessing your psychic type?" Aka-Chi asked, she stared at the girl while sitting next to her. She ordered some food in Japanese. "Kiki-chan. since you showed me this place, I'll buy." She said calmly.

Kiki started a little. "What do you mean by 'phycic type' aka-chi-chan? Are you talking about pokemon..?"

Aka laughed at Kiki. "No." she said as the food was placed down in front of her. "I mean like you have psychic power. telekinetic. Me I'm a summoner." Aka said, she hada brand name for almost any mutant she crossed.

Kiki coughed nervously. "U-uhm...people like that dont really exist you know? All those medians on tv and stuff are just fake, you know that right?" she took her bowl of ramen and set it in front of her.

"Yeah. But Ghosts are real." Aka-Chi said, she was a firm believer in that since her mind is always haunted by her past. "those shows were my entertainment when my parents locked me away for 7 years after what I did." She didn't like talking about it much as she ate some miso with sushi roles.
